Choices aplenty

Best meals I had were with good company and passionate chefs who were masters in their art. A scrumptious plate of char koay teow or a delicious bowl of laksa can be equally satisfying without paying an arm and a leg. Having said that, sometimes I am seduced by good reviews and stunning photos, enticing me to indulge. Although I venture out with good caution, my Peranakan parentage has somehow tuned my taste buds to such high degree of expectation. This could sometimes leave me disappointed. I could almost hear my late father saying, "Smile Adrian when you leave and remember, you do not have to go back". Best of all, I live in a heavenly food paradise of extensive offerings.
